Because we want to be transparent, here is an email we received from the government. I would like to inform you that we from the NVWA will carry out inspections on Terraria & Exoknaag Houten on September 24. We will bring along a foreign delegation from EUROPOL, who will monitor how we carry out inspections of trade fairs in the Netherlands. So we have more people present than you are normally used to from us. The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality also collaborates with Report Crime Anonymous. Report Crime Anonymous will discuss reporting illegal trade with exhibitors. MMA will be present with three employees. Drones will also be used to check whether any (illegal) trade is taking place in the surrounding parking lots. Action is then taken. |

| 01-03-23 | The Belgian 'Naturaria fair' has been taken over by the Dutch VHM events. 'Naturaria fair in Belgium has been taken over by the Dutch VHM events in recent weeks. | 16-02-23 | In November 2022, the 19th CITES Conference of the Parties (CoP19) took place. 46 species proposals were adopted at the conference. Several reptile species that were previously not protected under CITES are now protected, such as the musk turtles (Sternotherus spp.) and softshell turtles (Apalone spp.).
